Humboldt Bay (a collaboration between, Arcata, Eureka and Humboldt County) has submitted a proposal to Google's Fiber Project that promises to bring 1 GB fiber to 50,000 - 500,000 homes in one or more communities. The effort was spearheaded by Gregg Foster of RREDC who also put together a great resource site to support the proposal. This site will continue to grow and serve as a repository of broadband efforts support materials for future proposals whetner we are chosen or not. Great job, Gregg!
