[RTC List] We Made It!

I want to second that. We are a community. List serves are a tool of the community. If we can't be humans, if personal, helpful, RTC community emails are considered spam, we have become human doings vs. human beings, IMHO. I received a similar email when I sent out a notice of having a house available for rent, and what I was doing was giving my friends at RTC a headstart on what can be a difficult endeavor and giving myself a benefit of belonging to such a community.

Welcome to Humboldt County and apologies on behalf of the list. We do
try to keep a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the RTC; that's one
reason why our monthly meetings are open to the public and we discuss a
wide range of technical topics. This list is open to all members and
the discussion can be as wide-ranging as our membership.

James,

We're all adults on this list. If you want to be removed you can simply
go to the URI shown on the bottom of every list message and remove
yourself.

Thanks,

John

Not so sound negative, but I don't care. I get enough span and I
thought RTC was for business communications NOT this kind of junk mail.
Please stop sending me this type of mail. If it is not business
related, take me out of your data base.

Thanks

Greetings, all.

We finally made it! We arrived last Sunday and have been busy obtaining
and loading our stuff into storage, settling into the KOA and preparing
for my quickly approaching job interview. We are thrilled to be here.
Everyone has been so nice to us and we really feel at home.

We had a heckuva time getting here, though. Winter storms, engine
trouble, wind storms, and as if fate tried one last time to keep us out,
the windshield wipers quit late Saturday night as we wound our way
through the hills near Garberville and had to stop for the night. That
was hard, being so close to the Promised Land. But we persevered and
finally made it.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice. It was very helpful when
deciding where to stay, which services to choose, etc. We look forward
to meeting all of you at future RTC meetings.

Tim & Rhonda Mueller
