You may want to consider getting an account at pobox.com.

It's a email forwarding service that also allows you to send email (port 587
& SASL available to avoid being blocked by ISPs that block outbound port 25)
from any network you happen to be attached to.
When you move between networks, you don't need to keep changing your
outbound email server entry in your email program.

With a pobox.com basic account, you must specify some other email account to
deliver your mail to. it can be your current isp email account or one of the
free services.

The big benefit from a business perspecitive is that your email address
isn't tied to your current ISP or corporate domain.

As a consultant, i depend on clients being able to contact me at the same
email address they've used in the past.
I switched to pobox.com when my email provider of 7 years decided they no
longer wanted to handle individual email service..
I've used pobox.com for about 10 years now and my email address has remained
the same through 5 different ISPs (6 if you count the cox.net->
suddenlink.net) move.

Another benefit is that you can forward mail to deliver to multiple
accounts. I run my own mail server, and when suddenlink changed their
network one saturday morning from using cox.net IP addresses to suddenlink
IP addresses, my incoming email delivery got screwed up. I was able to add
another account to my pobox.com profile and have email delivered to a gmail
account while I investigated and fixed the problem. nothing changed from the
client side and my email address didn't need to change when the name of the
ISP changed.

I think pobox.com is now charging $20/year for a basic account. it was less
than half that when I started using them but I still belive it's worth it.
They've got higher-featured and priced plans available too.
