Chris,
Where did you hear that service had been extended to Humboldt Hill, or
anywhere else? There was nothing about that in the press release, most
certainly. I have heard nothing new, either.
BTW, one area where I DO know that broadband access has been expanded
is in the area of commercial broadband circuits. It seems that Global
Crossing finally has facilities in the area, and anyone searching for
T1, T3, DS3, etc. prices lately will find that there are a number of
quality Global Crossing resellers out there offering service at some
decent prices. The last I checked, you could get a full T1 from a
number of providers for less than $500 per month. That is a far cry
from the $1,500 per month that I was paying a few years ago.
