BUSINESS LEADERS LUNCHEON
Growing a Knowledge-Based Business on the North Coast
While residents of the North Coast might be familiar with locally-based and
nationally known manufacturers, we are also home to many "knowledge-based"
businesses with a statewide or nationwide presence. Like local
manufacturers, these businesses bring money to our region by adding value to
a product. In this case, however, the "manufacturing" process takes place
between their ears.
In this Business Leaders Luncheon, we'll hear from three businesses that
started on the North Coast and have expanded well beyond the Redwood
Curtain. We will hear how they got started, what factors led to their
growth, the challenges they faced in conducting their business from this
region, and what they believe is the future of their firm and others like
them for the North Coast.
