Hi Dwight,
 
No, I don't know of any rule that the RTC list is only for
announcements.  It works for discussion, too, as evidenced by the last
two days.  
 
I hope that everyone with ideas for making RTC more relevant to their
view of technology on the North Coast will attend tonight's meeting and
share their thoughts.  We have always welcomed announcements, ideas and
yes even criticisms from those who attend.

Well, let's see...  all of sudden somebody says something here after
almost no usage of the list for months, and along comes a lot of
discussion.  Discussion is good, but let's review - is the purpose of
this RTC mail list ONLY for announcements - and there can only be
discussion or replies by private e-mail?  I'm not sure if that is the
protocol here, on this particular list, since this is not a universal
rule for all mail-lists or listserves.  However, this also raises the
question as to where we might have a place for working online
discussions of various subjects.  I would assume in TalkTalk on the
Website, but that does not have an option for sending e-mail.  Is this
all correct?
