Interesting - I wonder if that's related to my computer powering down
without warning about a dozen times yesterday afternoon/evening here in NE
Eureka. It seems fine today but there was certainly panic in the air
yesterday.

Subject: [RTC List] PG&E Current

While I've been noticing people posting here about Suddenlink, I'm wondering
if anyone has noticed some PG&E power surges in the past 24 hours.
According to the readings on my UPS with Line Regulation equipment I've been
seeing some rather high end readings here lately, like 129 Volts instead of
the 110-120 VAC range. Probably it went up
even higher momentary. Last night somewhere in the 2100 hour I
heard a loud crackle pop and found the surge protector for the TV and stereo
equipment beeping, and could not reset it. It seems a goner.
Outside two breakers had been tripped. This AM at 1100 there was another
loud crackle pop, and next thing I know my Belkin UPS Battery with line
regulation is also on the blink and not resetting. This time there were no
breakers in the box tripped. My TrippLite in the other room is reading 125
VAC. This is in north Arcata, Janes Road area.
