[RTC List] Unstable Suddenlink service?

UPDATE: I finally got through to Suddenlink's toll free number and heard
this recorded message: "We are currently experience Internet issues
throughout the Eureka area. We are aware of the problem and working on
getting it corrected."

Also, I 'chatted' with a representative via the web site who told me that
"The number you called is not correct, you need to contact the Tyler Call
Center at 1-888-822-5151". This was obviously a surprise to me, as the
number I have printed on all of my Suddenlink literature is the same number
they tell you to call from the local office: 877-443-3127.

BTW, I'm in McKinleyville directly south of the airport.

Yes, the neighbor is lucky enough to have DSL. I guess I neglected to
mention that.

Also, it turns out the reason I couldn't submit a customer support request
via 'email' (i.e. the form on their web site) is that I was using my
actualzipcode. Apparently, Suddenlink doesn't believe they provide
service to
'95518' (and, maybe they're right). If you swap in Eureka's zip code (95501)
it works just fine...
