[RTC List] New to the list

[Andrius Ilgunas]

Hi everybody!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  

I'm currently a student at HSU that's going to graduate next May (*gasp*),
and I've been living in Arcata since 1999, a student since 2005.   During my
time here, I helped promote the use of technology primarily through my
involvement with the HumLUG, teaching some technology-related classes at the
university to business students, MBAs & CPAs, and, of course, some
consulting on the side.

Although I've known about the RTC for many years now, work and school have
kept me too busy to make any contributions to it, so I refrained from
joining. However, these next two semesters seem to finally allow me to get
involved in what's going on locally.

My intentions are to help continue the development of technology in the
area, raise the average income of technical professionals in the area to
what they deserve, and mitigate the "brain drain" that I currently see
happening.

I look forward to meeting you all, getting caught up on current issues, and
even help the economic development of the area through the use of
technology!
