[RTC List] Bringing Delta Airlines to the Eureka/Arcata Airport

Unfortunately my business requires extensive long distance air travel, which
I accept because that is how I make a living. I have to visit the client
sites I work with at least once because I have to 'discover' how they
conduct their business, e.g., efficiently, or not.
I probably use WebEx and teleconferences as much as anyone else on this list
in an attempt to reduce the travel, but I have to visit these sites. I
prefer to live here on the north coast, and having alternative air
transportation is an issue.
These statistics Aaron provided are interesting, and as long as we are
throwing statistics about:
"When it comes to green initiatives, many managers think that business
travel is the low-hanging fruit. But a new report out today from a British
non-profit, Global Action Plan, suggests that IT will soon emit more CO2
than travel. The study, titled "The Inefficient Truth," found that:
There are more than one billion computers on the planet, and the worldwide
ICT [information and communication technology] sector is responsible for
around 2% of man made CO2 each year - a similar figure to the global airline
industry.
Among the report's more shocking statistics: A medium-sized server has a
similar carbon footprint to an SUV achieving 15 miles to the gallon."

I am not willing to give up my computer yet either, are you?
I guess the solutions are teleportation and telepathy.
