Hi Dwight

Great questions. I think it's entirely dependent on who your audience is and
what their cycle looks like. From my perspective as a self-employed
consultant, I am only usually able to attend such events after my clients
have finished for the day (7.30pm would be my ideal time - one reason why I
almost never get to RTC or Chamber meetings).

Subject: [RTC List] Businesses and presentations during Holiday Season

Holiday Greetings.

A question has come up from a fellow Apple Consultant to the south, who
would like to come up and give a joint presentation. Since the release of
Apple's Leopard and Leopard Server in the past month (which we as many have
been waiting for almost all year) we have been wanting to give
presentations. I'm also expecting to teach. With the holiday season upon
us 1) would the few days between Christmas and New Year's Day be an ideal
time for some to have a break to hear presentations, or is it the "worst"
time due to doing inventories, taxes, etc.? -and-

Another question that I've discussed with the Chamber is: 2) what would be
the BEST times during a normal business week for presentations at a local
venue: mornings, lunch, late afternoon, Mondays, or Fridays (or other)?

In the interests of guidelines and professionalism of this list I'm not
going to get into any more specifics, and would invite you to contact me
personally if you are personally interested in our presentations. Likewise,
this is NOT just about Apple or Macintosh either, since if any other fellow
RTC member wanted to give a presentation about the latest developments on
Vista, Linux, or whatever and RSVP to the greater business community I would
also be interested. I think we all need to know about these things if
someone is going to offer such opportunities of information (announcements
made, and then specifics or discussion taken off-list).

So I look forward to the feedback sent to me direct e-mail so I know how to
proceed, what to tell my presentation partners, as well as share the best
meeting times question with the Chamber.

Thanks,
Dwight
