Some years ago when I lived on Kane Ridge (13 miles north of Trinidad) I 
used Starband, which may have been a predecessor to wildblue -- don't 
know but it was also associated with Dish Network.

I actually put together a presentation about using satellite-based 
internet which can be found on my website at http://www.dcta.com or

This is about three years out of date but might be interesting if one is 
seriously looking at alternatives.
