DirecWay is now HughesNet, as I recall.

Anyway, there are others out there, as well. Even premium services that offer large bandwidth.

But, Elaine, be aware that satellite internet is significantly more expensive than Cox, and in some cases even more frustrating, like with Starband. 

There are also other things you need to know about satellite internet services. They do not work well with internet phones because of the latency of the signal. And you need a line-of-sight opening to the satellite, just as you do with Satellite TV. I have huge trees on the north, east, and west sides of my home, so any satellite service I sign up for would need the satellite parked to the south.

Because of the high cost of satellite internet, and the high cost for us to bring cable up our driveway from the road we are on, Debbra and I are sticking with dialup at home, but we have access to DSL in town at work. (We are also stuck with local TV from rabbit ears antenna.)
