[RTC List] Question about Wireless Availability

Some extra (perhaps extraneous information) re: 
Hughes/DirectWay/Earthlink satellite service:

1. Download sometimes slows down to less-than-dialup speed.  Upload 
speed is often slower than dialup.  Even when its working great, I 
don't think download ever gets above 784 kbps.
2. Affected by weather
3. Very difficult (if not impossible) to use a VPN connection to 
another computer/network due to high latency and conflicts with Hughes own VPN.
4. No local tech.  They come from Redding, I believe.
5. Support is real spotty.
6. Expensive to setup and per month.

If there were better alternative up Kneeland way, we'd sure like to 
know about it.
