[RTC List] Redundant Internet (not rendundant fiber)

Maybe this has been discussed somewhere. If so, I missed it. What Humboldt
County needs is what Rio Dell has: redundant internet (consisting of fiber
optic cable backed up by a microwave link). Instead of burying another
fiber optic cable (or stringing it on poles) the 120+ miles to Redding, has
the "Rio Dell solution" been considered to bring redundant internet to the
entire Fortuna-to-McKinleyville area of Humboldt?
I have no idea if 101Netlink could or would do it, but that'd be a good
place to start. I know the telephone company could do it, but would it be
worth their while for the tiny market in Humboldt?
Additional thought(s): Do reps from the phone company or Suddenlink monitor
this list? Are they active participants in RTC meetings, plans & seminars?
If not, they should be....
Thanks for your time, George
