Actually there is one locally owned company working on a wireless mesh network. Not my place to announce who or when.

Hi all,
At last nights meeting, Lynn Harvey asked the
question of what RTC members and concerned citizens can do to help Rollin Richmond
and Peter Pennekamp with the
California Broadband Task Force (CBTF) and to help me with Build Out Working
Group (BOWG).
One of the answers was to advocate and make sure elected
officials know how you feel. I agree with Peter that more rural advocacy is
needed.
I could use suggestions on how to facilitate broadband build
out. Please reply if you have any specific suggestions on ways to build
infrastructure, particularly in rural areas. I am on weekly conference calls
with the BOWG team. I have several ideas, but want more to add to the list.
This will result in a report submitted to the CBTF.
Other information useful to BOWG is how to raise the level
of demand for broadband.
Thanks in advance, Tina
