[RTC List] 3-D Rapid Prototyping in Medical-Dental

It has been quite some time since we had an RTC presentation on the
work at CR with their state-of-the-art CADD rendering equipment.
However uses and implications of the physical cast model producing
equipment from digital imagery is still almost futuristic. In
addition to architectural, and mechanical engineering design, there
were/are also strong implied medical applications.

I'm looking at a current situation that extends those medical
applications of the 3-D rendering or "Rapid Prototyping" from Z-
company or SDM over to dental as well. I'd like to know if there is
anyone here on the list that has some practical knowledge of the
cross-over to medical usage within our region. I'm also specifically
looking to see what source of imaging has or could be used in 3-D
holographic imaging to recreate dental structure as physical modeling
down to the core (roots, nerves, cavities, structural integrity,
etc.) CAT scan can do planar, Ultrasound can do depth, what about
Dental? Anyone I could contact on this?
