Scholarship Program
We are pleased to announce the 2008 Scholarship program. Once again, the 
award of $1500 will be given to a North Coast graduating senior who will 
be attending an institution of higher education in the 2008-2009 
academic year. The scholarship winner is determined by essays submitted 
by the deadline of 5:00 PM April 7, 2008. Details including theme for

March Meeting
Next month's meeting will be held at the Humboldt Area Foundation 
Conference Room, March 13, 5:30 PM.

Aside from the usual announcements and tech news, we will have a special 
program. The speaker is Rich Ryan, CEO of Hunter Communications, a 
Southern Oregon based Telecommunications Service Provider, CLEC and ISP. 
Topics will include:

 *Hunter Communications background and current composition

* Development of fiber networks and the implementation of the Rural 
andMetropolitan Area Network in Southern Oregon

* Vision for the Northern California Coastal Region and what a regional 
fiber network could mean for businesses, municipalities and other groups

* Hunter's Plan for our region and how it fits in the "big picture"

Meetings are free and open to the public. We will send out another 
notice closer to the meeting.
