[RTC List] Redwood Coast Connect online survey

Too bad you didn't make it to the community meeting last night in Eureka. We
talked about the project there.

This is a project, not an formal organization. It's funded by the CETF
http://www.cetfund.org/ and various local sources - Humboldt Area
Foundation, McLean Foundation, RREDC, Headwaters, and others. HSU is
managing the project, thus the subdomain of HSU. The project was developed
and applied for in advance with the CETF, so that determined the project
plan and expenditures. If you'd like more detail, I can refer you to project
management or funders. I am just a contractor on the project.

Tina,

I'm just curious... I took a look at the Redwood Coast Connect website,
went through all the FAQs and can't seem to find out a pretty basic
question... Exactly "what" is the RCC? Is it a non-profit organization, a
foundation, a private corporation, or what? I see quite a number of
"participants", but exactly who runs the thing and decides how the money
is spent? Is an annual report available? Can the public attend board
meetings? Where is it located? Does it have any employees?

Sorry to be nosey, but it seems kind of odd not to be able to find this
sort of information on an organization's website. A WHOIS isn't even of
any use, since it is just a subdomain of humboldt.edu.
