RTC folks,

I'm happy to announce that the "new and improved" Humboldt Film and
Digital Media Commission (HDFMC) will be holding the first of several
public meetings next week and YOU'RE INVITED. As many of you may
know, the HFDMC has been under the auspices of the Visitors and
Convention Bureau for about ten years and recently split off to move
under the umbrella of the Northcoast Small Business Development Center
and will eventually become its own 501(c)3 corporation.

At this time, as part of our extended mission to expand our focus to
the development of a film and digital media industry for the
Northcoast, we are holding a series of public meetings to share our
vision, network with individuals and groups with common interests and
solicit your input & feedback on what we should be doing to build an
industry here.
There will be some short presentations from local groups who are
supporting our efforts, including the RTC. Please show your support
for our efforts and help build a new organization dedicated to the
development of film and digital media industry on the Northcoast.
Whether you work in any aspect of this industry today or are just
interested in the development of this industry, please come and share
your ideas and network with other members of the community with
similar interests. You're encouraged to bring brochures and business
cards to share with others to promote your business.

The essential points are as follows:
       Tuesday March 11th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Wharfinger building, #1 Marina Way, Eureka
It's FREE - just come join us after work and bring business
brochures and business cards to share
       Refreshments will be served

The meeting is described in the poster which can be found at the RTC
website at:

(Please feel free to redistribute this notice and print the
announcement and post it in your neighborhood)

Please join us for this important "coming out" party! We want your
input and participation - see you there!
