[RTC List] Fwd: Another ATT Problem interfering with legit email

Dwight,
There is most likely something buried in the AT&T/Yahoo! TOS that says you
are not supposed to use their e-mail services for any type of business
purposes and that there are NO service guarantees when it comes to e-mail.
I am not usually a big AT&T supporter, but I know that providing the type
of support needed for the services you are using is not something that
AT&T can afford to do for the cut-rate, loss-leader rates that they give
on residential and small business DSL accounts.
Trust me, there are plenty of work-arounds for the types of problems you
are describing, but all of them require that you subscribe to an
appropriate level of commercial service with minimum service level
commitments, and you aren't going to get that type of service on an AT&T
DSL account. Unless you are getting a T-1 (or better) from AT&T, you are
never going to get reliable e-mail service, IMHO. There are other ISPs
that offer business-class DSL (or better) service without these headaches.
They can not offer service at the rates that AT&T can though. In the end,
you get what you pay for.
