[RTC List] Voting for Tech Award

List Members:

I wanted to clarify something regarding who can vote for the Technology 
Leadership Award I posted last week.

We originally specified that only current RTC members could vote.  On 
reflection, however, there are two good reasons to open the voting to 
the community.

First, it just feels more democratic and should increase the interest in 
the nominees, the winner and the award.  Second, there was work required 
to be able to verify whether someone was a member or that only a member 
could vote.  That person would have to log in or there would need to be 
some other screening.  We chose to go with the more open and less 
labor-intensive approach.

So, even if you are not a current paid member of RTC, your vote will be 
accepted.
