[RTC List] Conference suggestion

Not having a lot of local contacts (relatively new kid in town) or
resources (hardware to share or cool marketing toys) and being a behind
the scenes kinda gal...
I would love to assist any "front person/people" with this type of
presentation... which I'm envisioning as an interactive gadget help
station.
Me? I'm an IT project, testing, technical documenter person that can
actually interface with (gasp) live users.
Please keep me in mind if anyone else is interested in proposing such a
presentation.

Thanks, Pat. She is referring, of course to our Tech Expo March 14. If
you, or you know anyone who would like to propose such a presentation,
please go here: http://www.redwoodtech.org/tech-conference-submissions
The deadline for submissions is January 31.

Circulating to the list as suggested by Bob M from one of the
RTC's non-geek members :-)
It would be great to have some workshop sessions to teach folks
how to use some of the more common mobile devices and also to introduce
people to social networking. It could be productive in bringing new
people into the orbit of the RTC and start to break down barriers
between geeks and regular humans ... for example, I for one would love
to see a session on how to use text messaging and other non-phone tasks
on smartphones.
