Listserv members,
We're looking for sponsorship for our annual holiday party, which as you know, will also be a tweetup this year. We're hoping to make it a free event, but to do so we need sponsors. If you're interested in helping us please go to http://redwoodtech.org/party-sponsorship or contact me directly at dariat at suddenlink.net. Below is our request for sponsorship letter with more details. Sponsors will be publically thanked through signage at the event and handouts.
I hope to see you all on December 2!
Daria
Dear potential sponsor,
Back in 1997, who could have imagined that technology would play such a critical role in our lives here in Humboldt? But a few geeks out there did see what was coming; thanks to their vision, the RTC was formed, and the group continues to lead the way in advocating for technology infrastructure improvements, such as
l advocating for broadband and alternate fiber;
l wireless connectivity at the Arcata/Eureka Airport;
l annual recognition of a local technology leader
l an annual scholarship fund for local graduating high school students
l educational and networking luncheons and conferences
l and more!
Every December, we host an annual holiday networking mixer event, and this year we will have a tweetup as part of the event, which we hope will help us celebrate our year of accomplishments and expand our membership. The events will include fun prizes and gifts, live music, and live Twitter streaming. To do this, we need your help.
We are looking to leaders in the community like yourself to sponsor this event. Contributors will receive ample promotional opportunities in all advertisements and announcements, and ensure that RTC's critical funds continue to be used for important technology infrastructure improvements, like alternate fiber to minimize the type of outages we’ve experienced this year.
As we celebrate our organization through a social networking event, we hope that you will decide to give generously and donate funds that will help offset the costs for this event, and other RTC endeavors. Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to seeing you on December 2nd at 5:30 at the Plaza Grill in Arcata.
With regards,
Daria
for the RTC Board
