[RTC List] A new Tech Beat schedule is nearing

Greetings  ...  for those of you who are RTC members or are  thinking about 
reasons to join, one of the benefits of membership is writing  Tech Beat 
articles that run every Thursday in the Times-Standard, Humboldt  Beacon and 
Redwood Times. The rules of submission are provided, below.

TECH BEAT Rules of  Engagement 
## Articles should be 500 - 800  words 
## Target it toward a general audience with  an interest in tech. If you 
include jargon, be sure to explain it.   
## It's okay to write about how your company  or organization utilizes 
technology, but please, no blatant sales  pitches. 
## Include a short 1-2 sentence bio/company  description at the end 
## Send a photo of yourself if you haven't  already done so  
## The published articles will be posted to  the RTC website and will be 
copyrighted to the Times-Standard with this notice:  Copyright 20__, Eureka 
Times-Standard Newspaper. The print version of this  article first appeared in 
the _____ edition of the Times Standard.   
Send your finished article to Chris Crawford  (_crawfordca at aol.com_ 
(mailto:crawfordca at aol.com) ) … Chris will edit your  article if it doesn't fall 
within the maximum word count and for grammar, then  submit it to the Times 
Standard, Humboldt Beacon and Redwood  Times.
