p.m</span>.</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> A representative from
the <span style="border-bottom: 1px dashed rgb(0, 102, 204); cursor: pointer;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1210718847_3">Federal Communications Commission</span> will visit the area to discuss the upcoming
change which requires that all television stations switch from analog to
digital broadcasting on </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">February 17, 2009</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style=""> </span>Consumers will be given the opportunity to
ask questions and learn what is necessary to receive digital broadcasting. This
is an opportunity to learn more about the compatibility of television
receivers, tuners, converters, satellite equipment, <span style="border-bottom: 1px dashed rgb(0, 102, 204); cursor: pointer;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1210718847_4">HDTV</span>, VCRs, DVD players,
camcorders, video games and more. The digital-to-analog converter box coupon
program, operated by the National Telecommunications and Information
Administration, which runs from </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">January 1, 2008</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> to </span><span style="font-size: 14pt;">March 31, 2009</span><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> will be explained. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><span style=""> </span>Issues pertaining to closed captioning for
DTV will also be discussed. A question and answer session will be held
following the presentation. It is anticipated that this will be the only visit
by an FCC representative prior to the DTV transition so residents are
